Police Seek Hit-and-Run Driver in Santa Maria Motorcycle Crash

 
SANTA MARIA, CA (June 29, 2020) – Two people suffered injuries in a hit-and-run on Highway 101 Thursday night near Santa Maria.
 
The Santa Maria police reported that the incident involved a motorcycle with two occupants and another vehicle. It happened in the southbound lanes of the highway near the Donovan Road off-ramp.
 
According to the investigators, they found a motorcycle down on the roadway when they reached the scene. Good samaritans have also stopped to render aid to two motorcyclists while waiting for paramedics. Both injured motorcyclists were subsequently taken to a hospital for treatment.
 
Meantime, the other vehicle involved fled the scene. The police are currently searching for the driver and the hit-and-run vehicle which, they said, has missing parts and a fender damage as a result of the collision.
 
The officials had the Donovan Road off-ramp closed at around 10:05 p.m. The roadway reopened after the cleanup.
