1 Injured in Big Rig Crash on 25 Freeway [RADIUM SPRINGS, NM]

Driver Injured in Radium Springs Crash

 
RADIUM SPRINGS, NM (June 26, 2020) – A big rig crash on 25 Freeway near Radium Springs left one person injured Wednesday night.
 
According to the New Mexico State Police, officers responded to the crash at about 8:53 p.m. near milepost 21. The New Mexico Department of Transportation, the Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Office, and Doña Ana Fire and Rescue also assisted.
 
The incident involved a 2016 Toyota pickup pulling a flatbed trailer and a 1997 Kenworth big rig.
 
The 50-year-old Las Cruces man driving the pickup truck sustained unknown injuries. He was transported to a hospital for treatment.
 
Meanwhile, the 67-year-old woman from Mexico who was driving the big rig did not have any injuries from the crash.
 
The authorities closed northbound 25 Freeway at 9:10 p.m. while they processed and crews removed the vehicles from the roadway. The northbound lanes reopened at 11:58 p.m.
