David Morse Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Highway 62 [YUCCA VALLEY, CA]

Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Highway 62 at Hermosa Avenue

 
YUCCA VALLEY, CA (June 25, 2020) – A man was killed following a pedestrian crash late Thursday evening in Yucca Valley.
 
The crash happened around 10:41 p.m. on Highway 62 at Hermosa Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a male pedestrian was crossing the highway outside of the crosswalk when a westbound Jeep struck him. The impact sent the pedestrian down in the roadway.
 
Paramedics and deputies immediately responded. They attempted life-saving aid, but the man died at the scene.
 
The coroner’s office identified the victim as 75-year-old David Morse, a resident of Yucca Valley.
 
It is unknown if the driver of the Jeep stayed or fled the scene.
 
The San Bernardino County Sheriff Department Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating this fatal incident.
