Man Dies in Two-Vehicle Crash at Durango Drive and Patrick Lane [LAS VEGAS, NV]

35-Year-Old Man Killed In Las Vegas 2-Car Crash

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (June 26, 2020) – A two-vehicle crash at Durango Drive and Patrick Lane claimed the life of a 35-year-old man in the southwest Las Vegas Valley on Wednesday.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, the crash took place at about 12:30 a.m. It involved a 2005 Honda S2000 convertible and a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta.
 
Both vehicles were westbound on South Durango Drive when, for inexplicable reasons, the Honda entered the same traffic lane as the Jetta. The two vehicles crossed the intersection at Patrick Lane and then exited the roadway on the right.
 
The Honda and the Jetta both spun before hitting a brick wall, causing the Jetta to flip. It came to rest after hitting the top portion of the Honda and its driver.
 
The Honda driver died at the scene. The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the name of the driver after notifying the family.
 
Meanwhile, the driver and passenger of the Jetta remained at the scene. The police said there weren’t indications that they were impaired. However, the investigation is ongoing.
