Davis Buhrmann Arrested after Turlock DUI Crash, Sheriff’s Deputy Injured

 
TURLOCK, CA (June 26, 2020) — Officials arrested 33-year-old Davis Arthur Rolland Buhrmann, of Turlock, after a DUI accident on Thursday, June 25.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place on North Tully Road and West Main Street around 6:50 a.m.
 
CHP Modesto Officer Thomas Olsen said the deputy was westbound on Main approaching Tully. A Ford pickup traveled eastbound approaching the intersection.
 
The truck turned left directly into the path of the deputy. The impact of the collision ejected the deputy from his motorcycle, Olsen said.
 
The deputy identified by Sheriff Jeff Dirkse as Caleb Collins, a five-year veteran of the department, was rushed to a hospital for treatment. Dirkse said his deputy was in stable condition.
 
Olsen said they conducted a DUI evaluation at the scene and arrested Buhrmann. Buhrmann, who was not hurt, stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
The CHP Central Division’s Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team also responded from Fresno to conduct the investigation.
