Deadly Two-Vehicle Crash at Baron Road and River Road

 
EASTVALE, CA (June 24, 2020) – A man died following a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Eastvale, authorities said.
 
The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Baron Road and River Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was driving eastbound on Baron Road and tried turning left on River Road, despite signs telling drivers could only turn right. While making the left turn, a second vehicle traveling south on River Road struck his car.
 
Arriving paramedics rushed the man to a local hospital, but he died while in transit.
 
Authorities did not immediately release the identity of the deceased pending notification of his family members.
 
The driver of the second vehicle was treated at the scene with minor injuries. He cooperated with traffic investigators.
 
River Road was closed in both directions while deputies investigated the incident.
 
Authorities do not believe drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
