3 Injured in DUI Crash on Highway 9 at 176th Street [CLEARVIEW, WA]

3 People, Including Teenage Girl, Injured in Clearview DUI Crash

 
CLEARVIEW, WA (June 24, 2020) — Three people sustained injuries in a DUI crash on Highway 9 at 176th Street in Clearview late Saturday night.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash happened at about 10 p.m. It involved a Honda Accord and a Suzuki XL-7.
 
A 33-year-old Bothell man was driving the Accord southbound on Highway 9 when he blew past the intersection at 176th Street Southeast. The car subsequently collided with the Suzuki which was turning onto northbound Highway 9.
 
The Suzuki driver and its two passengers were taken to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett. The extent of their injuries was unspecified. Another passenger in the Suzuki, who is 16 years old, received treatment at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
 
The WSP reported that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. However, the incident remains under investigation.
