Asa Graham and Valery Blood Dead in Flagstaff Two-Car Crash

 
FLAGSTAFF, AZ (June 24, 2020) — Asa Graham, 21, of Henderson, and Valery Blood, 45, of Durango, died in following a two-car accident on Friday, June 19.
 
Highway Patrol public information officer Bart Graves said that around 4:00 p.m. Friday, authorities rushed to an accident on Highway 89, near milepost 450.
 
Asa Graham drove a Chevrolet Malibu, headed south on Highway 89. Then he crossed the centerline and slammed into a Chevrolet Silverado traveling north, Graves stated.
 
Graham died on the scene, Graves said.
 
A passenger in the Silverado, Valery Blood, of Durango, also died on the scene.
 
The driver of the Silverado, a 23-year-old man from Durango, and a 16-year-old female passenger were hurt. Medics rushed them to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Graves declined to release the names of the driver and passenger.
 
The reason behind the incident is still under investigation, Graves stated. Officers shut down the road until 8 p.m. Friday.
 
A GoFundMe created to help Blood’s family said the 16-year-old passenger, Braisy, Blood’s daughter, is in critical but stable condition. She will remain in the intensive care unit.
