Two Hospitalized, Horses Dead after Crash on San Francisquito Canyon Road

SAUGUS, CA (June 22, 2020) – Two people sustained injuries and two horses were killed in a crash on San Francisquito Canyon Road, Monday evening.

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the incident happened at about 8:50 PM. For reasons still under investigation, a vehicle crashed into a horse with a rider on the 29800 block of San Francisquito Canyon Road.

Emergency crews pronounced two horses dead at the scene. Meanwhile, two people were transported to a local area hospital with unspecified injuries. Updates on their current conditions remain undisclosed.

The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the crash. As per reports, no arrests were made in connection with the accident. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
