Police Seek 2 Suspects in Hit-and-Run on Tramway Road and Academy Road [ALBUQUERQUE, NM]

2 People Injured in Albuquerque Broadside Crash

 
ALBUQUERQUE, NM (June 22, 2020) — Two people suffered critical injuries in a hit-and-run on Tramway Road and Academy Road intersection Thursday morning.
 
The police responded to the crash at about 10:45 a.m. When they reached the scene, they found one of the two vehicles involved was T-boned, trapping the passenger inside for 30 minutes.
 
Emergency responders transported the patient to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
The driver of the vehicle, meanwhile, was critically injured. However, the officials reported that the driver is now in stable condition at the hospital.
 
At this time, the police are still searching for two individuals who occupied the vehicle that T-boned the first car. The officers said both fled on foot immediately after the crash. One of them went to the direction of Tanoan neighborhood, while the other fled south of Academy Road.
 
The police had the suspect vehicle sealed and towed as part of their ongoing investigation.
