27-Year-Old Lancaster Man Dies when Two Pickup Trucks Collide at Avenue H and 90th Street East

 
LANCASTER, CA (June 22, 2020) – One man was killed and two other men were injured following a pickup truck crash late Monday afternoon in Lancaster.
 
The crash happened around 5:41 p.m. at the intersection of Avenue H and 90th Street East.
 
CHP officials said Mikael Mezhlumyan, 34, of Glendale was driving a 1999 Ford F-350 pickup truck eastbound on Avenue H. For unknown reasons, he allowed his vehicle to drift into northbound lanes. The Ford then collided into a 2001 Dodge 3500 truck that was heading north on 90th Street East.
 
As a result, the driver of the Dodge truck died at the scene. Authorities only identified him as a 27-year-old Lancaster man. His name was not released pending family notification.
 
Mezhlumyan suffered moderate injuries, and his passenger, 31-year-old Edik Mezhlumyan of Tujunga, sustained major injuries. Paramedics took them to a hospital for proper treatment.
 
Authorities did not rule out alcohol or drugs as a contributing factor. The crash is still under investigation. They encouraged anyone with information to contact Officer Rogers at 661-948-8541.
