Palm Springs Two-Vehicle Crash, 2 People Injured

PALM SPRINGS, CA (June 22, 2020) – Two people suffered injuries in a head-on crash on Racquet Club Road at Palm Canyon Drive Saturday morning.

According to the Palm Springs police, the crash took place at about 10:13 a.m. A car on North Palm Canyon Drive was making a left turn onto West Racquet Club Road. At the same time, another vehicle was heading straight on Palm Canyon Road, and the two vehicles collided head-on.

The drivers of both vehicles sustained injuries in the crash. Emergency personnel took them to Desert Regional Medical Center. One of them was in critical condition, while the other was in serious but stable condition. They were the sole occupant of their respective vehicles.

The police closed the area of North Palm Canyon Drive and West Racquet Club Road while they processed the scene. The roadway reopened after the scene was cleared at about 11:30 a.m.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
