3 Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 138 near Oasis Road [PINON HILLS, CA]

Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 138 in Pinon Hills Kills Three and Critically Injures One

 
PINON HILLS, CA (June 18, 2020) – Three people were killed following a multi-vehicle crash Thursday evening in Pinon Hills.
 
The crash happened around 7:37 p.m. on Highway 138 near Oasis Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a burgundy Honda Accord, a silver   G35 and a third vehicle collided for unknown reasons.
 
The impact caused the Infiniti to overturn. Its wheels were smoking and one person was trapped inside.
 
San Bernardino County Fire immediately responded and pronounced three people dead at the scene. The identities of the victims were not immediately available.
 
A fourth patient suffered critical injuries. Paramedics airlifted that person to Loma Linda University Medical Center for proper treatment.
 
Crews briefly closed Highway 138 in both directions during the rescue operations.
 
The factors that contributed to the crash remain under investigation.
