Rear-End Crash on 10 Freeway near Haven Avenue Kills Couple and 5-Year-Old Daughter

 
ONTARIO, CA (June 16, 2020) – A couple and their child died following a rear-end crash Tuesday morning in Ontario.
 
The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. on 10 Freeway, just west of Haven Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the three victims were in a 2002 Chrysler Voyager minivan that was stopped in heavy traffic. An 18-wheeler truck traveling about 60 mph then rear-ended them. The impact pushed the minivan into the trailer of another big rig.
 
As a result, all three were pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The coroner’s office identified the victims as Rachel Miller, 27, of San Dimas, Aaron Hardy, 25, of Fontana and Aubree Hardy, 5, of San Dimas.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics transported the driver of the semi that hit the minivan, a Van Nuys man, to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton with moderate injuries.
 
The crash is still under investigation to determine the factors involved and liability.
