SPOKANE, WA (June 17, 2020) — A Washington State Patrol trooper was injured in Spokane semi-truck crash on Sunday, June 14.
 
The trooper parked on the right shoulder of the eastbound lanes of 90 Freeway in Spokane’s Sunset Hill area. Then a semi crashed into the patrol car, said Trooper Jeff Sevigney.
 
First responders rushed the trooper to a local hospital with minor injuries where he received treatment and was released. The semi-truck driver was unharmed.
 
Troopers have not yet determined what led up to the semi drifting into the shoulder. There are also no reports if the driver would face any citations.
 
Authorities are still investigating the incident. Officials have not released if alcohol or drugs contributed to the crash.
