Trooper Injured After Semi-Truck Collides with Patrol Car in Spokane

 
SPOKANE, WA (June 16, 2020) — A Washington State Patrol trooper sustained injuries after a big rig crash on 90 Freeway Sunday morning.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the big rig collided with the WSP patrol car that was parked on the right shoulder of the eastbound lanes in the Sunset Hill area.
 
The trooper received treatment in a hospital and has since been released. The severity of his injuries was unknown.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the big rig did not report any injuries.
 
WSP didn’t release information on why the big rig drifted into the shoulder. It was also not immediately clear whether there were citations made in relation to the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
