FILLMORE, CA (June 14, 2020) – A pedestrian sustained injuries in a hit-and-run on Santa Clara Street, late Sunday evening.
 
According to the Fillmore Police Department, the incident happened at about 11:59 PM. Due to unknown circumstances, a vehicle struck a pedestrian just east of B Street.
 
Emergency crews found the pedestrian lying in the roadway. Then, an ambulance transported the victim to a hospital with serious injuries. However, the driver of the vehicle did not stop to render aid and fled the area.
 
Investigators described the suspect vehicle as a light-colored, four-door Chevrolet or GMC pickup truck. Anyone with additional information can call Fillmore Police Department at (805) 524-2233. Authorities will release more details once they become available.
