One Killed in Big Rig Crash on 10 Freeway at Archibald Avenue [ONTARIO, CA]

Morning Crash with Big Rigs on 10 Freeway at Archibald Avenue Kills One

 
ONTARIO, CA (June 16, 2020) – One person was killed following a big rig crash Tuesday morning in Ontario, CHP officials said.
 
The crash happened around 9: 36 a.m. along the eastbound lanes of 10 Freeway at Archibald Avenue, just near Ontario International Airport.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, two big rigs and a car collided for unknown reasons. The impact sent the car between the two big rigs, pinning the driver inside.
 
Arriving paramedics pronounced one person dead at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately available pending next of kin notification.
 
Police issued a SigAlert in the area, closing all eastbound lanes of the freeway for several hours.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
