Francisco J. Tinajero Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 175 [HOPLAND, CA]

Ruben Tinajero and Justin Jimenez Seriously Injured in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 175 in Hopland

 
HOPLAND, CA (June 15, 2020) – A man was killed following a two-vehicle crash Monday morning in Hopland, CHP officials said.
 
The crash happened around 11:35 a.m. on Highway 175 near Harrison Street.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 1999 Ford F-250 pickup truck was traveling eastbound on Highway 175 when it drifted into the westbound lanes. It then collided head-on with a 2002 Honda Civic.
 
As a result, the driver of the Civic died at the scene. The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office identified him as Francisco J. Tinajero, 32, of Ukiah.
 
A passenger in the Civic, 34-year-old Ruben Tinajero of Ukiah, suffered serious injuries. Paramedics airlifted him to a hospital for treatment.
 
The driver of the Ford pickup truck, 20-year-old Justin Jimenez of Willits, was also seriously injured.
 
CHP officials are still investigating the cause of the crash and factors involved.
