Cyclist Hospitalized after Hit by SUV on Cherry Avenue near Skyline Drive

 
SIGNAL HILL, CA (June 15, 2020) – A bicyclist sustained injuries following a hit-and-run crash on Cherry Avenue, Monday evening.
 
According to the Signal Hill Police Department, the incident happened at about 11:55 PM. The bicyclist had been riding westbound on Skyline Drive through the intersection at Cherry Avenue. There, a southbound SUV hit him.
 
Responders found the bicyclist lying face down on the west sidewalk of Cherry Avenue. He was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
 
Authorities confirmed that the SUV driver did not stop to render aid. Investigators described the hit-and-run vehicle as a dark-colored Chevrolet Tahoe. Anyone with information about the collision should call the police as soon as possible.
