Two Deceased Bodies Found on State Road near Highway 99

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 11, 2020) – Authorities identified the two deceased bodies found Thursday last week in Bakersfield.
 
Around 4:15 p.m., deputies were called to the 5900 block of State Road, just east of Highway 99 for a report of two possibly deceased people. They discovered two dead bodies at the scene.
 
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office identified them as 41-year-old Melissa Ann McCutcheon and 35-year-old Daniel Reyna Plazola.
 
Investigators found signs of trauma on the two bodies.
 
Homicide detectives remain on scene to conduct a full report.
