GLENDALE, AZ (June 12, 2020) – A man and a woman sustained injuries in a car accident on 59th Avenue, Friday morning.
 
According to the Glendale Fire Department, two vehicles collided near Mary Jane Lane and Greenway.
 
A female driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while a male driver needed hospitalization for serious injuries. As per reports, the male driver had to be extricated from the wreck.
 
The Glendale Police Department closed 59th Avenue from Greenway northbound to Paradise Avenue southbound to make way for clearing operations and an investigation.
 
Glendale police continue to investigate the cause of the collision. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
