Deputy Injured in Santa Clarita Pedestrian Crash

 
SANTA CLARITA, CA (June 16, 2020) — A deputy of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station sustained injuries in a pedestrian accident at American Beauty Drive and Tyler Lane Thursday night.
 
According to the Los Angeles fire officials, they received a report about the incident at about 10:45 p.m. The deputy was conducting a traffic stop when he was hit by a light gray Range Rover with Florida license plates. A felony warrant suspect was reportedly driving the vehicle.
 
First responders transported the deputy to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the suspect driver remains at large, as well as the other people inside the Range Rover at the time of the collision. The police found the said vehicle abandoned behind a Shell gas station on Newhall Avenue.
 
The crash remains in an active investigation.
