Two Injured after Truck Accident on Highway 118 [Simi Valley, CA]

Truck Overturns after Crash on Highway 118 near Tapo Canyon Road

 
SIMI VALLEY, CA (June 12, 2020) – Two people sustained injuries in a truck accident on Highway 118, Friday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 12:12 PM. Due to unknown circumstances, a box truck and two other vehicles collided near the Tapo Canyon Road exit. The impact of the crash ejected one person and caused the box truck to overturn.
 
Crews with the Ventura County Fire Department responded to the scene. They rushed the ejected victim to a hospital with major injuries. Another injury was reported, but it is unknown whether or not the victim needed hospitalization.
 
Officers shut down the left three lanes of the highway until 2:00 PM.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
