Rachel Casper Struck and Killed by Car on 139th Street [Vancouver, WA]

Rachel Casper Fatally Hit by Vehicle Outside Her Home in Vancouver

 
VANCOUVER, WA (June 15, 2020) – A 28-year-old woman was fatally struck by a vehicle while she was in her driveway in Vancouver Saturday night.
 
According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened at about 7:30 p.m. 28-year-old Rachel Casper and her father were in the driveway of their home at 8300 NE 139th Street.
 
They were about to walk to a neighbor’s house when a Chevy Suburban veered off the road, hit a power pole, and then continued into Casper’s driveway. The Chevy subsequently struck Casper and then crashed into a large tree.
 
Casper’s mom called 911 to report that a vehicle hit her adult daughter in front of their home. When the first responders arrived, they found Casper lifeless, lying in the front yard of their residence.
 
The man driving the Chevy was identified as 25-year-old Allister Gollihugh of Keizer, Oregon.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash is unknown. The investigators said there were no indications that impairment was a factor. The sheriff’s office is conducting further investigation.
