Pyon Huesok Arrested after Santa Ynez Hit-and-Run Accident near Chumash Casino

 
SANTA YNEZ, CA (June 15, 2020) – Officials arrested 53-year-old Pyon Huesok, of Paramount, after a DUI hit-and-run crash on Wednesday, June 10.
 
At around 9:30 a.m., officers responded to Highway 246 and Casino Drive. They found a pedestrian, a Chumash employee who had been directing traffic, struck by a vehicle that fled from the area, CHP Officer Keith Rogers stated.
 
Medics rushed the pedestrian, whose identity was not yet available, to Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital for evaluation.
 
CHP officers found the suspect vehicle, a 2004 Honda Odyssey, and the driver near Highway 154 and Armour Ranch Road.
 
Authorities arrested Pyon Huesok on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and felony hit-and-run.
 
The Chumash Casino reopened at noon on Wednesday with multiple new health precautionary measures after they temporarily closed since mid-March because of COVID-19.
