One Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Markham Street near Hallet Street [MEAD VALLEY, CA]

Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash on Markham Street in Mead Valley

 
MEAD VALLEY, CA (June 14, 2020) – One person died following a hit-and-run crash Sunday evening in Mead Valley, authorities said.
 
The crash happened around 9:15 p.m. in the 20790 block of Markham Street near Hallett Street.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles collided for unknown reasons. Paramedics immediately responded and pronounced one person dead at the scene.
 
A second patient was seriously injured. A third person had moderate injuries. Emergency crews transported them to a hospital for proper treatment.
 
The identity of the deceased victim was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
 
CHP officials said one of the vehicles fled the scene. They described it as a tan or black 2000s-model SUV missing the front grille and a headlight.
