Two Killed in Head-On Crash on Highway 138 near Fern Cove Drive [CAJON PASS, CA]

Morning Head-On Crash on Highway 138 in Cajon Pass Kills Two

 
CAJON PASS, CA (June 13, 2020) – Two people were killed following a head-on crash Saturday morning in Cajon Pass.
 
The crash happened a litter after 7:00 a.m. on Highway 138 near Fern Cove Drive, just west of 15 Freeway.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a green 4-door sedan and a white delivery truck collided head-on for unknown reasons. The impact caused the truck to overturn on its side and burst into flames.
 
Good Samaritans attempted to get someone out of the vehicle.
 
San Bernardino County Firefighters responded and located the truck fully engulfed. After putting out the fire, emergency personnel pronounced two people dead at the scene, one in each of the involved vehicles.
 
Officials issued a hard road closure for eastbound lanes of Highway 138 as they investigated the crash.
 
The identities of the two victims were not immediately available.
