Man Killed, Patricia Verducci Seriously Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash on West Main Avenue [MODESTO, CA]

Modesto Three-Vehicle Crash on West Main Avenue near South Carpenter Road Kills One

 
MODESTO, CA (June 10, 2020) – A man was killed and a woman was seriously injured following a three-vehicle crash Wednesday night in Modesto.
 
The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. on West Main Avenue near South Carpenter Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2014 Buick crossed into the eastbound lane and hit a 2006 Chevrolet, driven by 33-year-old Nicholas Stanley of Turlock. The Buick then struck a 2014 GMC, driven by Patricia Verducci, 56, of Patterson.
 
The Buick came to rest on the south shoulder of West Main Avenue and caught fire, CHP officials said. The male driver suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office did not release the identity of the deceased pending family notification.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics took Verducci to Memorial Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.
 
Stanley was unharmed.
 
CHP officials are still investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
