2 Killed, 1 Hospitalized After Ramona Two-Vehicle Collision on Mussey Grade Road

 
RAMONA, CA (June 11, 2020) — Two people died and another person sustained injuries in a head-on crash in Ramona’s Fernbrook area Wednesday afternoon.
 
The incident happened at about 12:15 p.m. according to the California Highway Patrol on Mussey Grade Road, south of Mahogany Ranch Road. Involved were a 2016 Ford Focus and a 2017 Subaru Impreza.
 
The CHP reported that the Ford was headed north when, for reasons unknown, the driver lost control of the vehicle. It veered into the southbound lane at a high speed and then collided head-on into the oncoming Subaru.
 
The 56-year-old Fallbrook woman driving the Ford and a male passenger in the Subaru died at the scene.
 
Meantime, the Subaru driver sustained major trauma and was transported to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido. The people involved in the crash remain unidentified as of this time.
 
The cause of the crash is still unknown. However, the authorities are conducting further investigation.
