Man Seriously Injured in Bicycle Accident at G Street and 17th Street [East Village, CA]

30-Year-Old Man Hospitalized after Bicycle Crash on G Street in East Village

 
EAST VILLAGE, CA (June 10, 2020) – A 30-year-old man sustained injuries in a bicycle accident at G Street and 17th Street, late Wednesday evening.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened at about 11:50 PM. A southbound bicyclist rode through a stop sign at the intersection. There, a 2019 Honda Accord that was eastbound on G Street hit him.
 
Emergency responders transported the bicyclist to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the Honda driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
San Diego police ruled out intoxication as a factor in the collision. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
