33-Year-Old Woman Struck and Injured by Jeep on Green Valley Road in Watsonville

WATSONVILLE, CA (June 9, 2020) – A 33-year-old woman was struck by a Jeep on Green Valley Road at Minto Road at around 7:43 p.m. on Monday, June 8.

A 53-year-old man from Watsonville drove a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee east on Green Valley Road. Then it struck a woman who walked in the eastbound lane of the road, according to California Highway Patrol officials.

She had major injuries and medics rushed her to Natividad Medical Center for treatment. The Jeep driver sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The reason behind the crash is under investigation but CHP officials said intoxication does not appear to be a factor.

No further information was released.
