Camille Kimball Arrested Fatal DUI Crash on 680 Freeway near El Pintado Road
DANVILLE, CA (June 7, 2020) – Two people died following a DUI wrong-way crash early Sunday morning in Danville, authorities said.
The crash happened around 3:45 a.m. on 680 Freeway near El Pintado Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2020 Ford Fusion was traveling south in the northbound lanes of the freeway when it collided head-on into a 2012 Honda Civic.
As a result, the driver of the Civic, 46-year-old Nettie Perkett, and her passenger, 26-year-old Taurean Lee, died at the scene. Both were Antioch residents.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Fusion, 27-year-old Camille Veraanne Kimball of Concord, suffered life-threatening injuries. Paramedics took her to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek.
While at the hospital, police arrested Kimball on suspicion of felony driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter.
