Afternoon Head-On Crash on Highway 395 in Ridgecrest Kills Two

 
RIDGECREST, CA (June 7, 2020) – A man and a woman were killed following a head-on crash Sunday afternoon in Ridgecrest.
 
The crash happened around 3:15 p.m. on Highway 395 at South China Lake Boulevard.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Porsche Cayenne and a red pickup truck collided head-on for unknown reasons. A motorcycle that was riding behind the pickup truck then got involved.
 
Emergency crews responded to the scene and confirmed two fatalities as a result of the accident.
 
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office identified the victims as Matthew Allan Hagerman and Melissa Ann Martinez, both 53 years old and from Riverside.
 
No other details were provided at this time.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
