Fatal Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Crash on Redwood Boulevard at Rush Creek Place

 
NOVATO, CA (June 8, 2020) – A man was arrested following a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run crash Monday morning in Novato.
 
The crash happened around 5:00 a.m. on Redwood Boulevard and Rush Creek Place.
 
CHP officials said a female pedestrian was walking in the area when a vehicle struck her. First responders found the woman lying in the roadway and was unresponsive. The involved vehicle was not found at the scene.
 
Paramedics rushed the woman to Marin General Hospital, where the victim later died.
 
Moments later, the driver of the vehicle returned to the scene and told officers he had struck the pedestrian. Officers identified him as 48-year-old Mario Trigueros-Santos.
 
Police arrested Trigueros-Santos on suspicion of felony hit-and-run. They booked him into Marin County Jail.
