Fatal Pedestrian Crash at Fair Oaks Boulevard and New York Avenue

 
FAIR OAKS, CA (June 7, 2020) – A man died following a pedestrian crash Sunday evening in Fair Oaks, CHP officials said.
 
The crash happened around 9:00 p.m. at the intersection of Fair Oaks Boulevard and New York Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was walking in the area when a Ford Fusion struck him. He suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
 
Sadly, the pedestrian did not survive and died Monday morning.
 
The coroner’s office only identified the victim as a 59-year-old Fair Oaks resident. His name was not immediately available pending family notification.
 
The driver, a 43-year-old Sacramento woman, stayed on scene.
 
CHP officials are still investigating this fatal incident.
