Jawon McKaskill Dead after Phoenix Head-On Crash on 43rd Place

 
PHOENIX, AZ (June 9, 2020) – A serious head-on crash claimed the life of 23-year-old Jawon McKaskill in Phoenix on Monday, June 8.
 
The accident happened shortly before 8:00 a.m. near 43rd Place and Broadway Road and involved two cars.
 
One of the vehicles, a gray Kia that McKaskill was driving, traveled west on Broadway. Then it crossed over the center line and struck a Chevrolet pick-up truck. The driver of the Chevrolet sustained minor injuries.
 
There was no information released if impairment played a role.
 
Police are still investigating the incident.
 
Authorities temporarily closed Broadway Road in both directions near 40th Street following the incident.
