Camille Kimball Arrested after Fatal DUI Crash on Highway 680 [Danville, CA]

Camille Veraanne Kimball Involved in Fatal DUI Crash near Danville

 
DANVILLE, CA (June 9, 2020) — The authorities confirmed two fatalities in Sunday’s head-on crash on Highway 680 near Danville.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a wrong-way driver triggered the crash. It happened at about 3:45 a.m. near El Pintado Road.
 
An initial investigation showed that 27-year-old Camille Veraanne Kimball of Concord drove a 2020 Ford Fusion southbound in the northbound lane of Highway 680. She then collided head-on into a 2012 Honda Civic that was northbound on the highway.
 
Both of the Honda’s occupants, a 46-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man, died on impact, officials said. Their names have not been released pending notification of next of kin.
 
Meanwhile, the authorities arrested Kimball on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and felony DUI. However, she remains at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
