Alicia Risdon Fatally Struck by Big Rig at East Los Coyotes Diagonal and East Stearns Street
LONG BEACH, CA (May 26, 2020) – A young woman who died in a pedestrian crash last month in Long Beach has been identified as 19-year-old Alicia Risdon.
The crash happened around 9:56 a.m. on May 26, at the intersection of East Los Coyotes Diagonal and East Stearns Street.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Risdon was walking near the intersection when a big rig struck her. She suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Authorities did not release the identity of the driver. It is also unknown if the driver stayed or fled the scene after the crash.
The CHP is still looking into the incident to determine the factors involved and liability.
