4 Hurt after Car Accident on Thorne Avenue [Fresno, CA]

Fiery Two-Vehicle Crash on Thorne Avenue near Whitesbridge Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (June 4, 2020) – Four people sustained injuries in a car accident on Thorne Avenue, Thursday afternoon.
 
According to the Fresno Fire Department, the incident happened at about 3:30 PM. A pickup truck westbound on Thorne Avenue attempted to enter the intersection after stopping at a stop sign. Then, a Camaro that was traveling at a high rate of speed on Whitesbridge Avenue hit the truck.
 
The impact of the crash caused one of the vehicles to catch fire and the pickup truck to end up on its side.
 
Emergency crews transported four people to Community Regional Medical Center with minor to moderate injuries. As per reports, all four are currently in a stable condition.
 
The Fresno Police Department will investigate the cause of the crash. Investigators ruled out impairment and racing as factors in the collision. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
