26-Year-Old Woman Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash at Redwood Boulevard and 98th Street [CALIFORNIA CITY, CA]

2-Vehicle Crash on Redwood Boulevard in California City Kills One Driver

 
CALIFORNIA CITY, CA (June 4, 2020) – A 26-year-old woman was killed following a two-vehicle crash Thursday night in California City.
 
The crash happened just before 6:00 p.m. in the area of Redwood Boulevard and 98th Street.
 
According to the California City Police Department, two vehicles collided for unknown reasons. When officers arrived, they located a female driver pinned beneath her car.
 
Firefighters were able to free the woman from the wreckage and transport her to a local hospital. Sadly, the woman did not survive and was pronounced dead.
 
The Kern County Coroner’s office did not release the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
 
Drugs and or alcohol are not considered to be a factor in the crash.
