Hit-and-Run Driver Struck and Injured Female Pedestrian in Tucson
TUCSON, AZ (June 4, 2020) — A woman in her 60s suffered injuries in a hit-and-run accident on Drexel Road and Copper Plate Drive in Tucson Tuesday morning.
According to the Tucson police, initial reports of the crash came in at about 12:30 a.m. Officers and paramedics immediately rushed to the scene and found a woman struck by a car.
The woman had life-threatening injuries and was rushed to the hospital. The driver of the vehicle, meanwhile, left the scene after the collision.
The police are now searching for the suspect driver and the vehicle which they described as a silver 2009-2010 Toyota Corolla. They said the car is missing a driver’s side mirror and may have damage to its fog light.
The detectives are asking auto body shops to watch out for the said vehicle. Anyone with information may call 88-CRIME. Callers can remain anonymous.
