Morning Head-On Crash on Frazer Lake Road near Bloomfield Avenue Kills Two Men

 
HOLLISTER, CA (June 2, 2020) – Two men were killed following a head-on crash Tuesday morning in Hollister.
 
The crash happened around 8:00 a.m. on Frazer Lake Road near Bloomfield Avenue.
 
CHP officials said a 53-year-old Rolando Barrientos was driving a 2015 Nissan Altima southbound. For unknown reasons, he swerved to the right shoulder and slammed into a metal guardrail. The impact sent the Altima into the northbound lane where it collided head-on with a 2005 Nissan Frontier, driven by 37-year-old Pedro Griego Jr.
 
Both Barrientos and Griego Jr. died at the scene.
 
Griego Jr. leaves behind a wife and their four children. A GoFundMe account has been set up on behalf of the Griego family.
 
Authorities said alcohol or drugs may have played a role in the tragic crash. They asked anyone with information to call Officer M. Figone at 408-848-2324.
