One Injured after Tucson Motorcycle Accident on Speedway Boulevard

 
TUCSON, AZ (June 4, 2020) — A motorcycle accident at Speedway Boulevard and Alvernon Way in Midtown Tucson left a rider injured Monday afternoon.
 
According to the Tucson police, the collision happened at about 3:43 p.m. The motorcyclist and a passenger car collided in the area.
 
The officers said the motorcycle rider sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.
 
There was no word, however, on whether the car driver remained at the scene.
 
The circumstances leading up to the collision were not immediately clear. Whether alcohol or drugs played a role was also unknown. The investigation is ongoing.
 
Meantime, the police closed the intersection of Speedway Boulevard and Alvernon Way while they processed and crews cleared the scene. The roadway has since reopened.
