One Hurt after San Jacinto Two-Car Crash on Ramona Expressway

 
SAN JACINTO, CA (June 4, 2020) — A driver suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Ramona Expressway and North Lyon Avenue on Wednesday, June 3.
 
At about 6 a.m., officers responded to the scene and discovered two wrecked vehicles. They described both as a white Chevy pickup truck with major front-end damage and a dark-colored GMC SUV with major rear-end damage.
 
Officials have not released any details about this crash. However, family members of the GMC driver have reported the collision occurred after the SUV stalled within the lanes of traffic. Then a pickup truck struck the rear of the SUV.
 
Evidence at the scene indicates the white pickup moved north on Ramona Expressway when it slammed into the back of the SUV.
 
The force of the incident spun the GMC within the intersection. Then it sent the Chevy careening over a raised median and stopped in the opposing lanes of traffic.
 
Paramedics treated both drivers involved in the collision. Then transported the SUV driver to an area hospital. Family members later updated that the SUV driver is awaiting back surgery while undergoing treatment.
 
It was not yet determined if alcohol or drugs or distracted driving contributed to the crash.
