Man Fatally Struck by Car on Highway 101 near San Martin Avenue

 
SAN MARTIN, CA (June 4, 2020) – A 66-year-old San Jose man was fatally struck by a car on Highway 101 in San Martin on Wednesday, June 3.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 5:30 a.m. on southbound Highway 101 south of San Martin Avenue.
 
The man had stopped his car in the center divider. Then he went out and started walking toward another car stopped on the right-hand shoulder. Then a 58-year-old woman driving a 2012 Toyota Corolla fatally struck him, CHP officials stated.
 
Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office has not yet released the identity of the 66-year-old man’s identity. The Corolla driver was not harmed.
