2 Officers Injured after LAPD SUV Crashes into Coffee Shop on Ventura Boulevard
STUDIO CITY, CA (June 1, 2020) – Two LAPD officers sustained injuries after an SUV crashed into a coffee shop on Ventura Boulevard, Monday evening.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident happened at about 7:40 PM. A vehicle accidentally cut off the police vehicle, causing the officers to swerve. Then, the police SUV crashed into a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at 12501 Ventura Boulevard.
Two out of four officers inside the vehicle sustained minor injuries and needed hospitalization. However, it is unknown whether or not anyone in the coffee shop sustained injuries.
LAPD continues to investigate the cause of the crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
