Driver and Juvenile Passenger Dead in Red Bluff Head-On Crash on Paskenta Road near Tehama Road

 
RED BLUFF, CA (June 1, 2020) – Two people were killed following a head-on crash Monday afternoon in Red Bluff.
 
The crash happened around 4:27 p.m. on Paskenta Road near Tehama Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2001 Honda Civic was traveling south at a high rate of speed when it lost control. It then drifted into the northbound lanes and collided head-on with an oncoming 2003 Ford E250 utility van.
 
As a result, the driver of the Honda and his female passenger both died at the scene.
 
The Tehama County Coroner’s Office identified the driver as 26-year-old Daniel Bruno of Elk Grove. The passenger was identified as Emily Henz, 13, also from Elk Grove.
 
The driver of the Ford fled the scene.
 
The crash remains under investigation. Authorities asked anyone with information to call the CHP Red Bluff Office at 527-2034.
