2 Women Injured in Visalia Pedestrian Collision on Mooney Boulevard

 
VISALIA, CA (June 3, 2020) — Two women suffered injuries after being hit by a car on Mooney Boulevard during a Black Lives Matter protest in Visalia on Sunday.
 
The incident occurred near Caldwell Avenue at about 3:00 p.m. There are rumors that one of the vehicle occupants is the son of a Visalia police officer. However, the Visalia Police Department said that that information is absolutely false.
 
The Fresno State, meantime, said that the occupants of the car may be students at the University. If confirmed true, the officials said they will conduct a thorough student-conduct review, while adhering to FERPA student-privacy laws.
 
Meantime, the Visalia police have not released the names of those involved in the incident. Police did not issue any citations or filed charges in relation to the incident as the investigation is ongoing, they said. However, no other information is known.
