2 Hospitalized After DUI Crash on 212th Street Southwest [Edmonds, WA]

Suspected Impaired Driver and Police Officer Involved in Edmonds Crash

 
EDMONDS, WA (June 1, 2020) — A suspected DUI crash on 212th Street Southwest sent two people, including a police officer, to a hospital.
 
The authorities said the police officer was on duty when the crash took place on Saturday, May 30.
 
As of this time, there was no clear information on the cause of the incident and how it happened. But the Edmonds police said the other driver may have been impaired at the time of the crash.
 
Emergency crews transported both the officer and the driver to Harborview Medical Center as a precaution. Their names were not released.
 
Officials shut down 212th Street Southwest between 77th Place West and 80th Avenue West while crews worked to clear the scene.
 
Meantime, the crash remains under investigation by the Lynnwood Police.
